Build flag and tackle football wristbands that fit the band.

Tell RC Football which wristband your quarterback wears and it lays your playbook out to fit that window, then prints the sheet at true size with dashed cut lines. Measure the band with a ruler, paste its Amazon link, or pick it from the list. No more shrinking a screenshot, cutting it out and finding it is a quarter inch too wide.

It Already Knows the Bands Coaches Buy

31 bands from 17 brands, each drawn from its own measurements. Pick yours and the window size is filled in for you. Not on the list? Measure it.

A Wristband Maker That Starts From the Band

Every other way of making wristband cards starts from the paper and hopes the card fits. This one starts from the band: once RC Football has the clear window, inside edge to inside edge, every card on the sheet is drawn to that size so it slides straight into the sleeve. The band fills itself from your team playbook, in Playbook order, offense first, and you fix what is wrong instead of starting from an empty grid. Choose pictures with big call numbers, pictures with play names, or a plain list, and the preview redraws at actual size while you work. Just need a sheet at a standard size? The football play cards export prints 4, 8 or 16 per page.

What the wristband maker does

  • Measure your own band window width, height and how many cards it holds. Any band works.
  • Paste the Amazon link for the band you bought and it is matched to a band it knows.
  • Pick from 31 real bands or answer three questions (age, budget, colors) and get a short list.
  • Fills from your Playbook in Playbook order, offense first. Rearrange by dragging.
  • Warns when a card is too small to read on a wrist, and suggests fewer plays per window.
  • True-size print sheet with dashed cut lines and as many copies as you need.

How the Wristband Maker Works

  1. 1

Say whether you have bands yet

Open the Wristband tab on your team. If you already own bands, the next step is measuring one. If you do not, it asks your players' age, your budget and whether you want team colors, and recommends a band.

  2. 2

    Get the window size

Measure the clear window with a ruler, paste the Amazon link for your band, or find it in the list. Each band shows its window and how many cards slide in behind it.

  3. 3

    Pick a design

Pictures with call numbers, pictures with play names, or a list of calls. Choose how many plays go in each window and the preview shows whether they still read at wrist distance.

  4. 4

    Place the plays

Your Playbook is already on the band. Drag a play onto another to swap them, drop one from your library into an empty box, and set the number the calls start from.

  5. 5

    Preview and print

Check the band at actual size, choose how many copies (one per coach and one per quarterback, plus a spare), and print at 100 percent. Cut on the dashed lines and slide each card into the window.

Three Ways to Get the Size Right

The whole feature rests on one measurement. Use whichever route you have the information for.

Measure it

Any band, a ruler, thirty seconds

Measure the clear plastic window from inside edge to inside edge, not the band itself. Enter the width, the height and how many cards the window holds. Print one test sheet at 100 percent and hold it against the band before you print the stack.

Paste the Amazon link

For the band you already bought

Paste the full amazon.com address from your browser and RC Football matches it to a band it knows, with the window filled in. Short share links hide the product, so open them first and copy the full address.

Pick it from the list

31 bands, drawn to scale

Search by brand or scroll the list. Every band is drawn from its own measurements, so you can see the difference between a youth single window and an adult triple before you choose.

Or let it recommend one

Age, budget, colors

No bands yet? Answer three questions and get a short list with the reasons each band made it: fits the age, in budget, comes in team colors. Buy first or design first, the size is set either way.

Who Uses the Wristband Maker

  • Flag coaches who call plays by number and want the whole team reading the same card
  • Youth quarterbacks, and the parents who end up cutting the cards out the night before
  • Coaches who bought a pack of bands online and found their old cards do not fit them
  • High school and adult league coaches running a triple-window band with a card per series
  • Coaches choosing a band for the first time who want one sized for their players' wrists

Football Wristband Builder FAQ

Can I build wristbands for flag football and tackle football?
Yes. The band fills from your team's Playbook, and a team can be any format RC Football supports, from 5v5 flag to 11v11 tackle. The QB wristband, a receiver's band or a coach's call card all work the same way.
Is this a football wristband template?
It is a wristband template that fills itself. Instead of typing play names into a spreadsheet grid and guessing the size, you pick the band, and the play cards are drawn from your playbook and printed at the band's exact window size.
Is the wristband maker free?
Choosing a band, measuring it and laying your plays out on it are free on every plan. Generating the printable sheet is part of the Coach Pro plan. See the pricing page for what Coach Pro includes.
Which wristbands does it work with?
Any band with a clear window you can measure. It also knows 31 bands from 17 brands by name, youth and adult, single and multi-window, so for those the size is filled in for you.
How is this different from the play cards export?
The play cards export in the designer prints standard sizes: 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 cards per Letter sheet. The wristband maker sizes each card to your band's own window and fills it from your team's Playbook. Use the export for a quick sheet, the wristband maker when the card has to fit.
Where do the plays on the band come from?
Your team's Playbook, in the same order, offense first. You can swap plays between boxes, clear a box, or add any play from your library. Build or reorder the Playbook first and the band follows it.
Does it print both sides of the card?
It prints the front today. The Front and back option is visible but switched off until back printing lines up exactly behind each front box.
What print settings should I use?
US Letter, printed at 100 percent, not fit to page. At any other scale the cards stop matching the window. Card stock holds its shape in the sleeve better than plain paper.
