Find a drill for the thing your team cannot do
Filter 90 free drills by the problem you need fixed, your players' age, the minutes you have, the number who turned up and the space and equipment you own.
Steps
- 1
Start from the problem, not the category
The filter rail leads with problems in a coach's own words, such as we miss flags or they burn us outside. That is how a coach arrives at a Tuesday practice, rather than looking for the agility section.
- 2
Add your constraints
Age, minutes, number of players, space and equipment. Each filter shows a live count, so you can see a filter emptying the list before you apply it.
- 3
Read the drill
Every drill carries a diagram, a setup, a coaching point, the equipment with real counts for a stated squad size, what good looks like, and how to make it easier or harder.
- 4
Put it in a practice
Add the drill straight into a practice plan from the drill page, which keeps its minutes with it.
What it costs
Free, all of it, with no account. Every drill, every diagram and the filters are open.
Things worth knowing
- There are 90 drills with written pages, each with its own diagram rather than a stock illustration.
- A drill is tagged with several problems and several skills, not one, because a drill that trains flag pulling usually also trains agility. A single tag made the filters a dead end.
- Equipment counts assume a stated number of players, so the bag list is a real bag list rather than a generic one.
- The drill diagram is a drill box, which is a small coaching area with cones, rather than a full field with yard lines. That is deliberate: a drill is not a play.
Questions
Where can I find free flag football drills?
All 90 drills on this site are free and need no account. Each one has a diagram, a setup, a coaching point and the equipment it needs, and can be filtered by age, time, players, space and equipment.
What drills should I run if my players miss flags?
Filter the library on the flag pulling problem. The drills it returns train hip focus and pursuit angles, and each one states the age it suits and how many players it needs.
Are there drills for 5 and 6 year olds?
Yes. The age filter starts at 5 and up, and the drills written for that band keep the instructions to one idea and the rounds short.
