What is free and what is paid
Designing, saving and sharing plays, building playbooks, the drill library and the practice planner are free forever. Exports, the simulator and the practice wizard are paid.
Steps
- 1
Free, with no account
Open the designer and draw a play, browse every play on the site and open any of them, use all the drills and build and print a practice plan. None of this asks who you are.
- 2
Free, with an account
Save plays, build playbooks with no cap on how many, share read-only links to a play or a set of plays, run 1 team, keep 2 saved formations, and use 10 AI actions a month.
- 3
What the free plan does not include
Playbook export to Google Drive, the play simulator beyond its 2 free runs, the AI practice wizard beyond its 1 free build, the wristband printable export, the coaches sheet and removal of the diagram watermark.
- 4
Coach
150 AI actions a month, 2 teams, 25 formations, 10 playbook exports a month, the play simulator and the AI practice wizard.
- 5
Coach Pro
300 AI actions a month, unlimited teams and formations, 100 playbook exports a month, the premium play library, the coaches sheet, the wristband export and no watermark.
What it costs
The free plan is free permanently rather than a trial. There is no card required to use it and no expiry on it.
Things worth knowing
- An AI action is one generation or one refine. Opening a play that already exists is not an AI action.
- Playbook export means sending a whole playbook to Google Docs or Google Slides. Downloading a single play as PNG, SVG or PDF is free and unmetered.
- Sharing a play by link is free and is not an export.
- Plays and playbooks themselves are not capped on any plan, including the free one. The caps are on teams, formations, AI actions and exports.
Questions
Is RC Football actually free, or is it a trial?
The free plan is permanent, not a trial, and needs no card. You can design, save, build playbooks and share them indefinitely without paying. The paid plans add exports, the simulator, the practice wizard and higher AI limits.
